Canada Pharmacy Criteria

The Online Pharmacy Digest uses our own Canada Pharmacy Criteria when choosing the best Canadian online pharmacy. The following lists the criteria and discusses its relevance for you, the customer:(Each item has a value of 10 points for a possible total of 100 points)

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #1 - Pharmacist Fee: Does the pharmacy charge this fee and if so how much and how often? Example: If no fee, 10 points are given. If there is a fee, points decrease as cost of fee increases, relative to competing pharmacies.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #2 - Doctor Consultation/Review Fee: Is a doctor required to review your application information and charge a fee to do this? Example: If no fee, 10 points are given. If there is a fee, points decrease as cost of fee increases, relative to competing pharmacies.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #3 - Shipping Fee & Time: How much to ship your order and how long does it take to get to you? Example: If no shipping fee and delivery is overnight, 10 points given. Points decrease as shipping fee and delivery time increases, relative to competing pharmacies

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #4 - Support: Is there any support and how quickly do they respond to your queries? Example: Highest points are given for support questions that are answered in a timely fashion and are complete.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #5 - Prescription Drug Selection: Does the pharmacy carry all the drugs Canada can offer to US customers or just a short list? Example: highest points for most drugs available and points decrease as possible products decrease.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #6 - Order Process: Is the order process properly defined or are you left scratching your head as to what to do? Example: If order process is well defined and all tools are availble, 10 points are given. As efficiency decreases, so do points.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #7 - Privacy: Has your privacy been considered and are the conditions relevant and safe? Example: Highest points given for well considered privacy conditions. Points decrease as privacy considerations decrease, relative to competing pharmacies.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #8 - Website Functionality: Is the website layout helpful? Does it operate properly (ie. no broken links, etc.)? Is it aestetically pleasing (ie. did someone take care in building it or does it look like it was just thrown together)? Example: Good looking and operating websites get 10 points. Points decrease as craftsmanship decreases. After all, the owners of these sites are making millions! If they can't throw some of it towards their online storefront, what does that tell you?

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #9 - Insurance Acceptiblity: Can your Canadian filled prescription be claimed by your U.S. health plan carrier? Example: If drugs can be claimed, 10 points. Points decrease as more products cannot be claimed or is sketchy as to whether or not they can.

Canada Pharmacy Criteria #10 - Other Relevant Issues: Is there other useful information, ie. FAQ (frequently asked questions), contact information, accept major credit cards, etc. Example: Sites with all the bells and whistles get 10 points. Points decrease as possible assistance items are omitted.
